I think the story was really good, and I know it will make an impact. The health world is really an important part of growing up that needs to be addressed.

There's Room for All your gifts.
Stories that help children understand health, express their creativity, and discover the power of their voices.
Children frequently hear adults discussing diagnoses, medications, food, appointments, or family health, but they are not always included in a way they can understand. Yale’s Tales was created to foster change by bringing health education to life through family, culture, imagination, and the arts.
The first Yale’s Tales story, Take Two, Type 2, follows a curious and creative 9-year-old girl who wants to better understand type 2 diabetes after learning how it affects her beloved Pop Pop. As Nella begins asking questions and making connections, she discovers that understanding health doesn’t have to mean leaving imagination behind.
Through science, humor, storytelling, and a loving intergenerational relationship, Nella helps make an important health topic more approachable for young readers. The story reminds children they do not have to choose between creativity and curiosity, chronic disease can be discussed without shame, and their questions, ideas, and voices can help begin meaningful conversations at home.
I think the story was really good, and I know it will make an impact. The health world is really an important part of growing up that needs to be addressed.
